Laline Paull is the author of the novels The Bees, a thriller about a worker bee born into the lowest caste of her hive society, The Ice, set in the warming Arctic, and Pod, told from the perspective of a spinner dolphin. Both The Bees and Pod were shortlisted for the Women's Prize for Fiction.
